VMA's Outfit Reviews

Hii!

well as everyone knows the VMA's have just passed .. and well I have to say there were a couple of interesting outfits ! Let's have a look..

Katy Perry

So i have to say this dress is definitely not something i would wear .. i am not a big fan of animal prints but considering that she just released a new song called roar then i think it goes pretty well and she stuck to the theme. On the other hand i like the fact how she kept it simple with hair and make up .

Rita Ora

I love love love this look ! i think she really stole the show that night . the colour of the dress goes really nice with hr skin tone and again i like how she kept it simple and sophisticated with the hair and shoes .. she looked really classy and elegant but at the same time still fashionable with the feather and jewels on the dress itself.

Miley Cyrus

As we all know lately miley has been showing off a side of her we had never seen. i actually do like this outfit as it is not so provocative but its a bit fun with the jewels on it . And i mean come on.. she has the body for it so why not show a little bit of it off ! one thing i dont like about the outfit is her hair. It would have looked much better if she had like a nice style done instead of those two little buns . if she put a bob wieve i think it would have been amazing ... but all in all not so bad

Snooki

the changes this woman has made in the last couple of years is amazing and inspirational! Again its not something i would wear but considering her style i think it suits her perfectly! its showing off her figure in the right ways. i also like her hair .. it sort of makes the outfit a bit more old hollywood fashion glam. Thumbs up for Snooki!

Lady Gaga

ssoo considering it s lady gaga this is quite low key for her .. i m not crazy about this look but it doesn't bother me either .. maybe i would have gone for heavier make up but well its Gaga she can pull everything off !

Ariana Grande

this has to be one of my favorite looks ! she managed to keep it girly and fun and didnt look too old for hr age. also its the VMA's so you can have a little bit of fun with it . the dress is quite girly and sophisticated and the shoes just complete the look ( check out my point shoes post to buy similar shoes)

Jordan Sparks

well i don't really like this look at all really .. the only thing i like is the hair make up and shoes my the outfit is a thumbs down. i think its wayy to tight for her in fact you can see the zip at the side is going down and from her midriff she just sees lie she cant breathe. i would have loved to have seen her in some kind of dress or maybe a crop top and skirt .. i think she would have looked much better !

Selena Gomez

I love this look on Selena! it shoes of her girly side but with an edge .. really helps us to realise like helloo the little disney star is now 20 ! Thumbs up Selena total lovee !

Ciara

this is another look i really like. the dress goes perfectly with her complexion. It s abit risky in a good way like you cant help but look at how beautiful this dress is . i like the fact that her hair and is quite plain and simple - just helps to dress it down a bit

Taylor Swift

when i saw this look on taylor i literally just kept staring at her in awe! she looked like a marilyn monroe replica .. truly beautiful! loved everything about it !

Back to School series : Essential Make Up Products

Hey dolls !
So where I live we start school in about a months time. last year, i started my first year of sixth form which to me had seemed so weird as before i didn't have to pick my outfit every morning or do my make up ... before it was soo much simpler just the usual old school uniform with no make up and just a ponytail. But oh well starting a new chapter was one good and and amazing thing which help me grow soo much.

one of the biggest challenges when it came to dressing up to school was going my make up everything and trying to find the perfect balance between too much and too little. Well after loads of experimentation i found the perfect look!

Foundation

Well i have to say rimmel is one of my favorite make-up brands - its relevantly cheap and quite good quality .. well all in all its worth the money! and as a student on a low budget this might be key. I particularly like this foundation because it doesn't give that cakey look which soo many people do without noticing. it is very light in texture and leaves you feeling fresh .. i consider it more of a tinted moisturizer. Another good feature of this product is that its oil free and for people like me who used to suffer from acne it's quite essential! Its is easily fund in a number of stores including : boots and superdrug.

Powder

for powder again, i chose rimmel. i try not to put as much powder as i dont like feeling cakey all day long .. so all i do is apply a small amount using a brush or special sponge to set my liquid foundation and make my skin tone look more or less even. It is also quite cheap and commonly found.

Concealer

So i generally use concealer to cover up blemishes , highlight my brows and under eyes but most as a base on my eyelid. i personally think wearing eye shadow to school is a bit too much for me so i keep it simple. I have used both of these products shown above. The elf one has more of a liquid feel whilst the No7 is more of a cover stick. As regarding price the elf one is cheaper and can be bought online on their website: http://eyeslipsface.co.uk/en/restofworld/page/home for those living in the UK as i am aware that in america you can find the brand in local stores. As regarding the No7 i am sure you can find it in boots and if i remember well it was about £7 which is quite good as it lasted me a long time! I blend it into my skin using my fingertips:P

Eyeliner

for long days at school i prefer to wear gel eyeliner as it lasts much longer and doesn't smudge at all! the essence gel liner is relatively cheap in price and widely available. I usually apply this with either the elf concealer brush or the inglot eyeliner brush in 30T. besides applying it on my eyelid i also apply in my waterline which helps me get a more of a smokey eye feel.

Mascara

And its rimmel again ! Sorry guys but i have to say i'm addicted :) Both these mascaras make my lashes look huge and they are really cheap .. ranging between £7 -£10 which is amazing for a mascara with such good quality! for me its another student essential! I have tried a number of high end designer make up which dont do half the job .. so these are definitely worth the hype!

Blusher

This blusher i ordered online so i was a bit hesitant at first but considering the cheap price .. its quite good quality and i truly suggest it. It is one of my favorite products as it blends in nicely with my skin and doesn't stand out basically just gives off a natural look with a touch of highlight! As regarding lips i don't do much maybe just apply some carmex once in a while :)

Leather Love: Outerwear

Hey everybodyyy :)

So to carry on with my love leather series i decided to tackle the most common outwear people own - The Leather Jacket! I mean come on who doesn't love a leather jacket ?!?!? it's one staple piece which generally lasts years so most people won't consider the price as much as they know that no matter the price it will be worth it :)

Going out outfit No1

today you can find everything from leather biker jackets, trench coats, gilets, blazers .. anything basically! Although buying real leather might be expensive you can still find outerwear made from faux leather which gives you just the look ! Just like bottoms, leather outwear goes with most probably every single thing in your wardrobe .

Going out outfit No2

Another thing is that i thing, most people have a vision of leather being just black but it's good to remember that there are other colours out there to consider such as red and camel. Some people

would probably think that they are a bit tacky but if style well i think they look amazing and add a lot of interest to an outfit.

Leather love: Bottoms and Pants

Hey guys!
so lately i have been going round some shops and i have to say i'm loving leather especially when combined with prints like tartan as well as peplum and some white pieces too. I feel like when you're wearing leather you cat go wrong between being too casual or too dressed up- It's the perfect fit. When wearing leather you can also look edgy with a girly twist and you can basically wear it everywhere you want - from work to a great night out .. it's the perfect staple piece!
Leather jackets are also very in right now and you can basically find them in everyone's closet. Some people tend to take a step back and avoid wearing leather as they might think its too risky for them or it wont suite their body type but as long as you find the right fit and style to suite your body type you will be looking fabulous in minutes.
Often you find curvy people who don't feel comfortable when they are wearing leather well in my opinion i think that leather helps to enhance your curves and makes you feel wonderful!
Ok sometimes it might be a Little bit pricey to purchase leather items but stores like new look, primark, asos , missguided and much more definitely offer some lovely leather goods at reasonable prices. so don't be discouraged!
Another good thing about leather clothing is that you can wear it with really simple things. For example if you're wearing pants you can just simple pair it with a white tee and simple jewelry if you'r going for a more casual look and a white peplum with some gold statement pieces and a nice pair of heels.

Pointed Shoes

Hey beauties !
so when it came to thinking about what to do next i have to say i got a bit confused .. so a i took some time to browse around and see what is really big at the moment and well i couldn't help but notice - THE POINTED SHOE!
to be honest with you a couple years back i used to hate them and think they were more or less tacky.. well now i think the total opposite! i feel like they give a woman such a class and elegant look without trying too hard which is just about amazing right!
well as most of us girls would love to own a pair of nude louboutin pumps but its not as simple for all of us but i can assure that there is nothing to worry about as there are several similar styles with a much cheaper price! ( I will list some below ) if you are going to invest a good amount of money in buying such shoes i definitely suggest that you should go for a nude or black colour - it will last a lifetime!

I have to say i reqally like it when i see people wearing simple outfits then they wear a pair f bright coloured pointed heels - it gives you class and colour .. Perfect for Spring!
