Melissa Hand Care Collection

Hey Beauties!
Hope you're all doing well. I've decided to talk about some hand care products which I have been trying out.
I got the Melissa Hand Care Collection which is a collection from Neal's Yard Remedies. It comes in a beautifully designed box which has an amazing floral pattern - making ideal to be given as a gift.
Inside you then have four products, being the following:

  • Nourishing Melissa Hand Polish
  • Melissa Hand Cream
  • Nourishing Melissa Nail Balm
  • Nail Brush

So let's  look at each product individually ...

Nourishing Melissa Hand Polish

This is more of a scrub, helps to exfoliate  your skin. For all those with dry hand this is perfect. It helps to make them much softer. It has a nice lemon and herb scent. All you need to do to use it is imply wet your hands, message it gently into your skin and rinse. And to make things even better it is 91% organic.

Melissa Hand Cream
After rinsing your hands it is time to apply some of the hand cream. This can be used on all skin types and helps to protect your skin. It also a good layer of protection for your nails. It has quite a creamy a rich consistency, however takes a while to dry.

As regarding the smell, it is just like the scrub. And also it is 82% organic.

The Nail Brush
After using the hand cream you can brush your nails using the nail brush. This comes with two sides of very dense bristles, one side being larger than the other.

The Nail Balm
Last but not least, we have the nail balm which comes in a little tube. The tip is also rather small so not a lot of product comes out where you end up wasting half of it. It helps to promote healthy nails and cuticles so for all you who frequently experience chipped nails something like this would be ideal. To apply all you need to do is apply some on your cuticles and message in. It smells just the same like the rest of the products in the collection.
Organic? Of course this product is also 86% organic.

This set truly helps you to detoxify your hands, making a big difference in the texture of your hands making them nice and soft.
Hope you enjoyed,

K.x

Real Techniques Brush Review

Hey guys
I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas!

Today I was thinking about talking a bit about my favourite brushes at the moment - Real Techniques.
I am happy to say my collection is slowly growing. At the moment I own the stippling brush, sculpting brush and last but not least the blush brush.

Till now I have to say I absolutely love all 3 of them.
All of them are soo inexpensive and are of great quality! So if you are a student looking of a good deal like me, I definitely recommend them.

Another benefit of these brushes is that they were created by youtube beauty gurus so someone who is not such an expert when it comes to make up can easily go and watch online tutorials on Nic & Sam Chapman's channel.

The Stippling Brush

I previously owned stippling brushes from NYX  and every time I used all the hairs from the brush would be scattered all over my face - very undesirable. However when i bought the RT techniques stippling brush I was very impressed. It is very easy to use and does the job really well.

What I like doing is squeezing a blob of foundation on the back of my hand and using my fingers I distributed along my face in little dots then I stipple using this brush and blend it into my skin giving me a nice finish.

The Sculpting Brush

I personally use this brush to apply bronzer and give my face more definition.  Its bristles are at an angle make application much easier. What I like doing is I do the so called fish face and apply a little bit on the brush then blend it downwards.

The Blush Brush

I got this brush as a Christmas present and I was more than happy when I got it. I was really surprised at how soft the bristles are .. I never felt a brush which was so soft. I really leaves a nice effect and colours the apples of your cheeks without that over the top look.

I absolutely love all 3 brushes and can't wait to purchase more. A definite recommend!

Where can you purchase them ?
Well locally in Malta they are in all shops, however, there are a few shops such as beautyplus in Valletta and big local supermarkets.

A Christmas Scent: Yankee Candles

Hey there beauties,
Today I have decided to write a bit about Yankee Christmas scents. Yesterday, I purchased a yankee candle and 2 tarts, as I decided I needed to make the house smell more festive.

The candle I picked is Christmas Garland, a tart in sparkling snow and another one called cosy by the fire, all of which have quite a sweet smell.
As regarding price they were all really inexpensive and I have to admit a little goes a long way.
They can easily be found around shops and even online.
I love all three scents and felt that they made a big difference in the house. Will definitely be trying out more and tell you how I feel about them !
I took a few you pics hope you enjoy :)
Love,
K.

My Skincare Routine

Hey guys,
So I am really enjoying getting back to blogging and I have been thinking about interesting and relevant blog posts which I could do which would be helpful.... so Today I decided to write a bit about my skin care routine.

Well .. I have acne prone skin so finding the right treatment to make my skin condition improve was quite hard.
I have been using and trying several products but the ones which I fond to have worked best have got to be these!
La Roche-Posay have got to be one of the best skin care brands out there. And lately, I have also discovered Eucerin which is also a leading skin care brand.

Let's start with this-
Application:
I use this as a face wash so as regarding application I start by washing my face with water then applying a bit of the product onto my fingertips and messaging it gently into my skin. I do this for about a minute and make sure to get all the areas or places where I'd have a pimple.
After doing so I rinse it off well with water and pat my face dry use a clean facecloth.

More about the product:
As a product it is affordable to buy, can be easily found in local shops and pharmacies.
With just applying a small amount you get utmost use.
It is specifically for people who have normal to combination skin.
It has a clear, white colour and is perfume and soap free however, you still get that soapy effect we all want when washing our face to feel as if we are actually giving it a good wash!

I totally Recommend buying such a product especially if your looking for something inexpensive but effective to use.

After I rinse my face I apply the Eucerin Dermo Purifyer Cream which I use as a moisturizer.
Without the application of a moisturiser following the facial wash my face tends to be rather sticky.

Application:
To apply such a product all you need is to apply some on your fingertips and message gently into the skin.

More about the product:
It is also inexpensive and can be easily found. Dermatological skincare, can be easily carried around.
It is green in colour but has no particular smell.
Oil and fragrance free so ideal for people with acne like me .

Dislikes:

Two things I don't like about this product is  1. the applicator. Once you have reached the end you cannot pump more out and the material the bottle is made out of is too hard to cut so you will probably be wasting quite a bit of the product
2. After application your skin tends to become quite red so if you would like to go out straight away without applying any foundation it is not so ideal.

Do I still recommend it ? Well yes I do.. I found it to be very beneficial to my skin and I suggest you to try it out

For those who acne and can't seem to control it I would recommend you speak to a dermatologist so he can prescribe the right products for your type of skin and help you get it under control.

Rimmel Kate 107 Review

Hey guys,
So it has been a while but i decided to get back to blogging once again :)
Today I am going to be reviewing of of my all time favourite lipsticks the rimmel kate 107.

This has got to be one of my favourite lipsticks ever!
It is a really deep dark red matte lipstick...sort of the colour of red wine. Mostly perfect for the autumn/ winter days. Wearing this lipstick can complete your whole outfit. It comes in really cute packaging and it totally inexpensive. You can find it all local stores on the rimmel stands. It is very easy to apply and smells nice too.

If your looking for an inexpensive lip liner to go with it i definitely suggest the rimmel lip liner in 004 Indian pink.

As regarding skin tones, this lipstick suits all. I am really pale and sometimes find it hard to find some lipsticks which suit me however this, is a big thumbs up!
